Christ the King School Closes
Recently the Diocese of Rockville Centre announced that they will be closing Holy Family Regional School in Commack, Holy Family Regional School, formerly called Christ the King parish school, was established by the Dominican Sisters of Amityville.
Employees Unite in Nine Minutes of Silence for George Floyd


On Friday, June 19, at noon, about 30 employees of the Queen of the Rosary Motherhouse in Amityville, NY, and PACE paid respects to the life and death of George Floyd.  Participants -- including Sisters and staff-- were invited to kneel for nine minutes in honor of the eight minutes and 46 seconds that George Floyd was pinned underneath the knee of a police officer on May 25.

Sinsinawa Mound Center is offering a virtual workshop, All Shall Be Well: The Spirituality of Julian of Norwich amid a Pandemic, from 7:00-8:00 pm, on Wednesday, August 12. John Eby will present on the English mystic Julian of Norwich. 

Scholar to Speak on Consistent Ethic of Life


A talk on Friendship in Troubled Times: Faithful Citizenship and the Consistent Ethic of Life, offers Christians a fresh look at their civic obligations through the lens of the Consistent Ethic of Life, which holds that human life is sacred from conception to natural death. This virtual program is being offered by Weber Retreat and Conference Center via live stream at 7:00 pm EDT on Wednesday, August 4. 

Workshop Moves Toward Right Relationships with Native Peoples

Sinsinawa Mound Center is sponsoring a workshop that delves into the relationship between Native peoples and non-Native people. Toward Right Relationships with Native Peoples will be held virtually from 7:00-8:00 pm, on Wednesday, August 19. 

Weber Center Offers Live Streamed Concert by Singer and Songwriter Sara Thomsen

Weber Retreat and Conference Center presents a free, live streamed concert by Sara Thomsen, a singer and song writer from Minnesota whose music touches the heart and soul. The concert will be broadcast from 7:00 - 8:00 pm EDT on Saturday, August 8.
